Needs Assessment and Resource Inventory
One of the major requirements during the first year of the Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant was completion of a Needs Assessment and Resource Inventory. The purpose of the document was to identify service gaps, systems barriers, strategic priorities, as well as resources and opportunities for collaboration to guide the development of Ohio's comprehensive state mental health plan. Delivering the Promise: Transforming Mental Health Services
Ohio's Strategic Advisory Committee hosted five regional forums to gather input from consumers, families and professionals on transformation of Ohio's mental health system. The forums were dedicated to public testimony on how Ohio can address implementation of the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health's goals and recommendations. A public record of the issues consumers, families and professionals brought forward at the forums is included in the document, Delivering the Promise: Transforming Mental Health Services.
